Each Zebra's stripes are unique and no two zebras have the same stripe pattern and it is said they recognize one another by their stripes. Each species of Zebra has its own home area. Plains Zebras live in the treeless grasslands and woodlands of Eastern and Southern Africa. Female Zebras carry their young for a gestation period of 12 to 14 months and baby Zebras are called foals.
Zebras work together in a herd and this allows them their protection and survival.
The spiritual meaning of the Zebra is balance of the Yin and Yang. Their stripes representing nature's yin and yang. You are reminded to find a balance in your perceptions of individuality and the whole. Each one of us has a unique perception to contribute to the whole, but the whole is equally important to each of us individually.
